AMWA-Canada is the Canada Chapter of the American Medical Writers Association. Formed in the 1970s by Canadian medical writers and editors looking for an appropriate organization for professional development and networking, the Canada Chapter extends across the country and includes biomedical communicators from such diverse areas as biotechnology, publishing, pharmaceuticals, and academe. Members enjoy all of the benefits of the parent organization based in the US, as well as Canadian local and national events, opportunities to meet Canadian colleagues, and the Canada chapter email listserv and Web site.
