Jane Mijovic Kondejewski

I am an experienced Medical Writer with a strong background in medical research. I am a PhD scientist. After eight years in the laboratory I became involved in publication planning and research strategy development. I am now responsible for grant writing and manuscript co-ordination at the Perinatal Research Centre at the University of Alberta Canada. I have research and writing experience in all areas of women’s health especially physiology, endocrinology, molecular biology, obstetrics, gynecology, and perinatology. I have published extensively in peer-reviewed medical science journals and have made award winning presentations at many international medical conferences.

Presently, I run my own Medical Communications company, InScience Editors (www.inscience-editors.com). Through this company, and with the considerable expertise of the writers and editors that work for me, my mission is to disseminate knowledge about advances in medical research; to translate discoveries made through medical research into products, and changes in policy and practice; and to use multimedia to raise awareness about health issues to a wide-variety of end-users.

At InScience Editors, we edit and write research proposals, grant applications, abstracts, manuscripts, reviews, book chapters, and books. We use multimedia to develop brochures, congress materials, slide kits, continuing medical education materials, and promotional items for marketing.

InScience Editors are scientists with over 25 years experience in medical writing. Our areas of expertise include aging, allergy/asthma, assay development, biochemistry, biomarkers, cardiovascular medicine, chemistry, dermatology, endocrinology, epidemiology, genetics, hematology, infectious diseases, medical imaging, molecular biology, neuroscience, oncology, personalized medicine, pediatrics, pulmonary medicine, proteomics, psychiatric medicine, sleep medicine, structural biology, and women’s health.

We have provided Drug Information for the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center; material for the American Heart Association, Infectious Diseases Society of America, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the American College of Emergency Physicians; and Continuing Medical Education multimedia including textbooks, slides, videos, and CDs. We have submitted grants to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).

I have excellent communication skills and a wealth of expertise to offer through my company. I am unique as my expertise and company provides a complete service that encompasses the writing and presentation of scientific documents with a research, educational, or commercial orientation.

Donalee Moulton

donalee Moulton has more than 25 years experience in medical and health care communications. As a professional writer and editor, donalee has prepared everything from brochures to booklets, newsletters to annual reports, websites to online newsletters, marketing kits to feature articles, manuals to users’ guides to PowerPoint Presentations. She also taught feature writing and news writing at Mount Saint Vincent University. Her freelance broadcasting work has been heard on CBC Radio and The Morning Show; she hosted the television show Like an Open Book and her work has been broadcast on CBC-TV.
